Los Angeles, CA (July 11, 2023) - Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films have announced the cast of Superman: Legacy, the upcoming reboot of the Superman film franchise. David Corenswet will star as Clark Kent / Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane. The film will be directed by James Gunn and written by Gunn and Brian Gunn.
Corenswet is best known for his role as Nick Robinson in the HBO Max series The White Lotus. He has also starred in the films The Politician and The Sound of Philadelphia. Brosnahan is best known for her role as Midge Maisel in the Amazon Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She has also starred in the films House of Cards and The Whistleblower.
Superman: Legacy is set to be a modern take on Superman mythology. The film will explore Clark Kent's journey as he comes to terms with his powers and his place in the world. The film will also feature Lois Lane as a strong and independent journalist who is determined to uncover the truth.
Gunn is a highly acclaimed filmmaker who is known for his work on the Guardians of the Galaxy films. He is also known for his unique and irreverent style. Gunn is expected to bring his own unique vision to the Superman franchise.
